What do you mean by Tekkits conf files? Did you change "server-ip=" in "server.properties"? You should leave it blank unless you are 100% sure what you are doing. When it is left blank it binds to all IP addresses on your machine which you shouldn't normally change. Otherwise, I haven't used mcmyadmin but it sounds like a firewall on the desktop computer is blocking the connection. You should try running a Vanilla server (easy as going to minecraft.net) or a regular Tekkit server and turn off the windows firewall or antivirus firewall to see if that works. Also triple-check that you are using the correct ports.

It sounds like the server crashes every time it loads that area which appears to be corrupt. You need to delete that corrupted area or even the whole chunk but last time I used MCEdit with Tekkit it didn't recognize the extra blocks and turned them all into lava. You will have to find another way to remove the corrupted area by trying different map editors. Too bad WorldEdit doesn't have a command for selecting an area with coordinates but it does have a chunk delete tool. You might have to delete the corrupted chunks by guessing. Check out this link.

Try resizing the Minecraft window. It doesn't show up at some sizes like fullscreen (at least for me).

Your launcher might be corrupted. Download the "Linux/JAR File" here: http://www.technicpack.net/download/ Put it anywhere and double click it.

You also didn't say if you tried starting the server without plugins. You should do that to make sure that it isn't a problem with a plugin.

As I said, you have to be OP before you can use the NEI cheat mode. Go to the console and type "op <your-nick>" or add your nick to ops.txt and restart the server.

I would have to say Redpower2 just because of the fundamental redstone changes like putting it on walls and ceilings, also the logic gates which condenses a gate from 10 blocks to 1. With frames you can make your own quarry or farms using deployers. And of course the incredibly powerful microblocks which allows you to hide redstone wiring and make really compact circuits.

Recovering files is a kind of an art. Professional companies charge thousands of dollars to recover lost files but if you feel daring then there are some ways of doing it yourself like using recovery CD's that will run a recovery in offline mode.

What I meant was that the Technic Pack has two "mod-packs". One called Technic which has many SSP (survival single-player) mods that won't work on multiplayer. The other version is called Tekkit which has fewer mods but is for SMP (survival multi-player). So usually if you are playing single player you want to be playing Technic but if you are playing multiplayer you want to be playing Tekkit. However, it is possible to play Tekkit single-player although not many people do so. HDD means hard-disk. If you are playing Technic then your world save is stored in this folder: .techniclauncher\technicssp\saves But if you were playing Tekkit on single player then your world save is stored in this folder: .techniclauncher\tekkit\saves Go there and check if your wold save is there. It's just a folder with the name of the save. If it isn't there then you will have to try one of those file recovery programs. But if it's a school laptop then you probably won't have Admin rights to install the programs and you probably won't be able to remove the hard disk so you are probably quite out of luck.

Are you playing Tekkit SSP? Although it works, did you know that Technic is for SSP and Tekkit is for SMP? Anyways, if the whole .techniclauncher\tekkit folder is gone, then you are quite out of luck. If the stars align and you sacrifice a cow then you might be able to recover the folder with a file undeleter or file recovery software. You should use Google to find such a thing. However, be aware that the longer you use your HDD the lesser the chance of recovering the files. It all depends on how much free space you have on it. The best you can do is shutting off your PC and putting the HDD in another PC and then run the recovery programs from there. Maybe someone else can advice you what software works best. I know that the same people that made CCleaner also makes a undeleter program, check this: http://www.piriform.com/recuva Another way is if you have a recent Windows system restore point. If you do then you can rollback and hopefully get your folders back.

Mods usually have a config file where you can change the ID's if there are conflicts.

It can't run the ModLoader. It can't access this file: C:\Users\joshua\AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher\tekkit\ModLoader.txt. I can't reproduce the bug. It sound more like a Windows permissions problem to me. Did you change anything recently or move your data files around or something? Check that you have permissions to read the file and check whether the file is not locked by other application. Is there another instance of Tekkit running or is the file open in Notepad?

I can't be sure but maybe it's a problem with the server and not with your client? Can you join any other Tekkit servers? Otherwise, the only thing I can make out of that error log is this: That sound like incompatibility with IronChests and a plugin for Forestry. I don't know if you have any custom mods or not but I know of a mod called ID resolver that fixes stuff like that.
