RAM problem

Operating System: Windows 7 64-Bit

Java Version: 7 Update 7

Antivirus Program: MSE

Description of Problem:

I try to play tekkit smp but everytime the same problem: NOT ENOUGH RAM

I can't choose more than 1536 MB ram - Why?

I tried to change it with the properties file but it resets automatically to 1536 MB

How can i use 4 GB like before?

Yes, go up to the search bar and search "ram allocation" or "allocate ram"

check your allocating the ram that your computer actually has left....go to your control panel and it says somewhere on there...its pointless allocating 4gb ram if your computer hasnt got that much to give....try allocating512mb and see if that works

OP: Only being able to allocate 1536MB or less is always caused by having and using a 32-bit version of Java.

I downloaded 64-Bit again and for some reason IT FUCK*ING WORKED AGAIN . The problem was that my java wouldn't execute .jar's. Now I can play with 16GB again ^^
