SwiftWolf's Rending Gale bug

I'm having this weird problem on my Tekkit server. When I press C to activate the Rending Gale's abilities (red) it switches quickly and goes back to the normal one. Also, if I go into flying mode it stays the normal empty color, if I try to switch between modes it goes from purple to blue and then if I try to land it stays purple and won't go back to normal... Really weird bug and has started happening only today. I have updated my server completely and my client too and it still happens (for me and everyone else on the server). It's annoying and if you know how to fix it it would really help.

The thing about the colors of the ring is only a graphical bug, it won't affect it's powers, just look different. Probably the reason you can't activate it with C is because you don't have any fuel in your inventory (Redstone, gunpowder, glowstone, klein star etc.).

Okay, thanks for the quick reply. I've done more tested and I can guarantee this isn't a simple graphical bug (on my side at least). It seems the cause is jumping into lava with the volcanite amulet. It lets you swim but when you jump out of the lava the Rending Gale seems to think you are in flying mode, but you are not. This causes it to change to blue and it refuses to turn red, just blue or purple. Even if it is purple it doesn't push away mobs or launch them when right clicking. One way to fix this is dropping it on the ground or picking it up and replacing it back into your inventory. BUT, this sometimes doesn't work, and the best way to fix this is by just deleting the one you have and spawning another one with Too Many Items. I suggest picking one that is already colored (not just the normal one) because it seems sometimes it picks back up what the old one had and starts glitching immediately. After that, the first fix should work if it ever bugs out.
