Geothermal Generator shutting down?

I have a geothermal generator next to a mass fabricator to make it work continuesly. The generator is hooked up to pipes containing lava. The geothermal is full of lava, and it suddenly shuts down and stops working. If I break a pipe and then replace it with the exact same sort, it work for about 1 second before shutting down again.

I need the goethermal to supply the fabricator with power, which it basically is doing, except that it stopped working for no reason. Is it overheating?
