Launcher wont open anything

Java Version: latest

Antivirus Program: one that comes with a new windows computer

Description of Problem:

when i click on the technic launcher a prompt to run or cancel will pop up as per

but when i click run it wont show the download thing like all the videos on youtube show you how to fix windows will pop up a thing saying technic launcher updater failed and try to resolve it i tried to reinstall java redownload technic launcher and delete the file in appdata and tried again and still the fail thing pops up

I am getting a “Technic Launcher has Stopped Working Error”!

If your launcher is encountering this error, a solution is to download the .jar file from http://www.technicpack.net/download/ (pick the third from the left (Linux/Jar)). If you are using Internet Explorer you will also need to change the file extension (the ending of the file) to .jar instead of .zip. Once you’ve done that, all you need to do is double-click on the file to run the launcher.

If that doesn't work, turn of your antivirus and firewall, then redownload the pack and run it.

thanks for the info im on tekkit now and there is one more problem when i join in my world single player it says im 6 updates behind

That is not an issue. That is one of the Mods (MATMOS) telling you that there is a new version of MATMOS available. When the pack is updated, Matmos will also be updated, until then, just ignore the message after a few times it should go away.
