When i download tekkit it only downloads 3 mods instead of 41

You provided next to zero information here so I can't really help. Turn off antiviruses and firewall and redownload.

Well, did you do what I suggested?

It would be helpful to have a log (read the sticky to see where to get it), Your OS (Windows xp, Windows 7, OSX, Ubuntu, etc.) Your Java Update version (7u4,7u7, etc), any antiviruses you have and your launcher version.

yesterday it just stopped working. I would log in and it would say 3 mods loaded. I tried re downloading but it would not work. I did what you said and i have no idea what you typed means. What sticky?

Turn of Antiviruses (Bitdefender AVG, etc.) then delete you .techniclauncher folder and redownload from the site. The sticky is the post that is stuck at the top (it is called COMMON PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS) there are tips in there that might help.
