Why Don't Ranks Show up in Chat?

I run a Tekkit Server, and for some reason, the ranks of players don't show up when the log in. You have to use /whois (player's name) or have them use /afk in order for the rank and coloring to show up. Until you do either of those things, it doesn't show their rank or color. I'm using the following plugins:

CoreProtect, CreeperControl, EnjinMinecraftPlugin, Essentials, EssentialsChat, EssentialsSpawn, Factions, JCVaultListener, LWC, MobDisguise, Modifyworld, Multiverse-Core, Multiverse-Inventories, Multiverse-NetherPortals, PermissionsEX, Residence, TekkitCustomizer, Vault, Votifier, VoxelSniper, VoxelUpdate, WorldEdit, WorldGuard, WorldPortal

Do you have any idea what might be wrong?
