Unable to authenticate account with minecraft.net

Java Version: 7.0.30.5

Antivirus Program: Norton 360

Description of Problem:

I've had and used the technic launcher for about a week, everything was working fine until at one point I tried logging in it gave the error "Unable to authenticate account with minecraft.net". I checked the minecraft server status and everything was green. Similarly when I tried using my minecraft launcher it gave the error "Cannot connect to minecraft.net". I've tried deleting and reinstalling launchers with no success. My account is premium as I can still login and play in browser on minecraft.net. I've also tried changing the firewall and anti-virus settings, again with no luck. Im not sure what the problem can be, any help is greatly appreciated.

If you can't get into normal Minecraft it is not a launcher issue. It is a Mojang issue.

I have the same problem, and I have the most recent Java version, and firewall is not the issue. What s the problem? I can login wiht minecraft but not with technic pack.

You should post your own bug report instead of threadjacking the OP's thread.

OP: Have you tried disabling your Antivirus and Firewalls?
