Help with Hack/Mine Plz!!!

Hiyas all, I'm having a problem with the Hack/Mine mod using Technic Launcher. The game works fine until i hit either E or ESC. Once the menu opens, everything lags out and I cant even press the button to resume the game. I dont know how to fix this and would like any help if available. Thanks
