Description of Problem:

I have a problem with the launcher.

Until yesterday it worked and now I get update files.

Why is that?

It 's so with all the mods that are in the laucher

Do you mean you are getting a message in Game that is telling you your mods are out of date? Or is it a message from the Launcher that tells you there is an update available?

I am having the same problem, I tried deleting my .Technic folder or whatever and that didnt work at all. The problem is that whenever I try to update Tekkit or the launcher thing then it says update failed.

OP: I am going to assume you mean Update Fails... If that is the case, you need to turn off AVG and redownload the pack.

Sakii, if you have a similar problem and the solutions in the COMMON PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS sticky don't work, you should post your own bug report.

Im pretty sure its the same problem he has though and I havent been able to find a solution. I tried turning off my Norton firewall and antivirus but it still says Update Failed.

i have the same problem, it automatically updates my technic launcher when i click login, on the end of the update a new small screen appears saying 'Update Failed' with a white i in front of it and it wont start the game...

Filling out a bug report gives us vital information that we need to help you. It also helps us help the original poster if this thread better, as it keeps his thread clean. And before you say you have tried everything, make sure you have read the Common Problems & Solutions sticky at the top of the bug report board. Also use the search bar at the top right corner of the page to search the forums for old threads that may have the solution to your problem. Also use google to look for possible solutions. Once you have done all that, then you should go post your own bug report in the proper section, and fill out all the fields.

i highly doubt this. The vanilla minecraft update would not affect the spoutcraft launcher that tekkit/technic use.

Thank god you came to my rescue Green! I was going to respond in detail but I need to go write my midterm.

My Launcher works perfectly fine, so it is not an issue with anything on "my end". If the majority of users can update their launchers, it is definitely a client side issue. Now if you guys had posted bug reports, we might have solved your issues by now, instead of having a thread cluttered with "me too" posts.
