Update Failed. Tried all solutions on internet

Launcher Version: 1.0.2.0

Operating System: windows 7 ultimate

Java Version: 7.9

Antivirus Program: Microsoft security essentials

Description of Problem:

I've already had all problems there are. First the launcher image freezes. After this tekkit just shut down in like 2 to 5 mins and now my launcher updated fails.

While finding a sollution for this tekkit to shutdown after some minutes, my tekkit (i think it crashed) did something strange. After this the technic launcher didnt update any of the game modes anymore. I tried all sollutions i could find on the internet like with the virus program, firewall, .jar files, copy paste bin files etc.

My Q is does anyone has this problem too, and what is THE way to solve this?

I've tried the things in the sticky and also everything on the first page of google including youtube vids. None of it worked.

So I'm frustrated right now...

Having same problem to. It has something to do with the mods, I think. Haven't tried any solutions. Maybe if you completely delete tekkit and re-download it.

The only prelude I had to it was that when I loaded my world originally none of the mod-type items were there.

ok i have tried on win 8 stopped working tried on mac osx not working. last night i had it running on win 8 now this morning its not working. i have deleted the modpacks and reinstalled deleted .minecraft reinstalled changed .jar's watched videos tried to do it manually still doesnt work this thing is a piece of crap and the mods need to get onto fixing it

@ wtf1992 I had this exact problem i found this on another forum and it solved it for me

A solution: download Minecraft 1.2.5 from Mojang directly (url: http://assets.minecraft.net/1_2_5/minecraft.jar ), rename the file you just downloaded to minecraft_1.2.5 and place that file into your .techniclauncher/cache folder. - NOTE: If you're on windows and have enabled file extensions to be shown (the default is that they are not shown) then you will need to rename the file to minecraft_1.2.5.jar - do not do this if you are unsure. - NOTE: If you're using Internet Explorer, it will download the file as a zip file which will require you extract it (usually right click > Extract), you could alternatively download the file using another web browser such as Firefox, Google Chrome, or Opera.

what you have to do is get your minecraft jar. file once you have got that that file to your desktop then type %appdata% then

go to your .techninc launcher file and in there, there should be a file called cache drag your minecraft jar file into the cache folder

then log back in to tekkit and it will work
