Launcher fails updating on Ubuntu

Description of Problem:

I've not run any game through the Techit Laucher on this computer at all (fresh install), and when I try to log in it starts the process but doesn't get through. Only pops up with the error message "Update failed"

And I tried the solution in some of the Windows threads, but they did not work...

Read the thread at the very top of the page. It has a "fix" tag

I did that already without luck... Did it again now (some hours later) and now it worked.

Windows and Linux have same fix. :)
