Minecraft lags way to mutch to play.

When i try to play tekkit it lags way to mutch i have all of the settings down and i cant play the vannilla verson on the tekkit client gives me a error

you might want to think about buying a better computer, or if your already on a desktop some extra RAM or an Nvidea geForce?

I played hack slash mine with no lag but with tekkit it lags way to much
