Title: Get failed to connect to server error when logging into my tekkit 3.1.2 server

Version: 3.1.2

OS: 64 bit Windows 7

Java Version: Version 7 update 9

Description of Problem:

I created a tekkit 3.1.2 server and when I tried to log on for the first time under multiplayer - direct connect - my Hamachi ip address:25565 I get this error:

Failed to connect to server

connection refused: connect

Need help please

is the server on the same pc as the one you are trying to connect?

if it is on the same pc then try connection use 127.0.0.1 instead

since 25565 is the default port number for minecraft you do not have to specify it when connecting to a server unless that server uses a different port

the connection being refused points towards a firewall

Have you bother to fill out your hamachi IP and connect using that same hamachi IP?
