what is Mac Launcher?

Description of Problem:

i would try and start up tekkit it would get to the point where it would just freeze at the Mojang screen. i let it load for an hour.i came back to see if it finished loading and it was still at the Mojang screen. PLEASE HELP I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!!

:bang: If you are on a mac you need to download the mac launcher. Also, the launcher only works (AFAIK) with Java 6 (from Apple) there are a few threads around here that tell you how to downgrade your Java version so just search for those.
