The Batbox/MFE/MFSU. That would turn off all the things connected, so I would go for Splitter cables, so you can have more control on which machines get power. Try using the Tekkit wiki, you'll be able to find out more on them there.

Actually the BatBox method is rather preferable in my situation. How would I go about stopping it from emitting power, or would I do that by using a splitter cable?

I'm fairly sure that applying redstone current to either should prevent them from emitting power. Either that, or the person in that forum post raging at me for not knowing that lied >:/
