I make it to creating a new world and I receive a white screen. i am running windows 7. the error message reads "Java Platform SE binary has stopped working"

Under extra information it gives me a link to this location.

C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Local\Temp\WERDB23.tmp.hdmp

This location however does not exist.

Are you sure? or do you have your appdata folder hidden? most people's appdata folder is hidden by default.

Do you have the newest java? you should try downloading Java 7.

I downloaded java 7, and that isn't the problem. also appdata is hidden, but I mean WERDB23.tmp.hdmp does not exist

Hm. What's the context that it's giving you in? Like, why does it want you to go there?

it does not ask me to go there, when you receive a file error it asks if you want to report it to windows. under this it gives some information, and this was apparently the cause of the crash.

[pure conjecture]Then maybe the fact that it isnt there is WHY it's crashing.[/pure conjecture] I'll check if i have it later tonight, unless someone wants to in the next couple hours.
