Antivirus Program: none (Out-of-box firewall turned on though)
Description of Problem:
When I click "log in" to launch any modpack, it says "checking for Minecraft update" for about 10 seconds. After that a window pops up as it normally does, but nothing loads and the screen for the game flashes black for a split second then turns white and won't change. It then takes at least 20 seconds after trying to close the window for the window to actually close. I have deselected "use latest lwjgl", deleted the tekkit folder under techniclauncher in Application Support, and everything else I have found on google or the "Common problems and solutions" page. My friend downgraded his OS, but I'm not willing to do that if there is another way. I have heard that it is a problem with Java, but I have tried to re download SE 6, but I cannot find the link or the Java Preferences window, since Apple removed it (for whatever reason).

Launcher Version: 1.0.2.0
Operating System: Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2
Java Version: Java 7 u9
Antivirus Program: none (Out-of-box firewall turned on though)
Description of Problem:
When I click "log in" to launch any modpack, it says "checking for Minecraft update" for about 10 seconds. After that a window pops up as it normally does, but nothing loads and the screen for the game flashes black for a split second then turns white and won't change. It then takes at least 20 seconds after trying to close the window for the window to actually close. I have deselected "use latest lwjgl", deleted the tekkit folder under techniclauncher in Application Support, and everything else I have found on google or the "Common problems and solutions" page. My friend downgraded his OS, but I'm not willing to do that if there is another way. I have heard that it is a problem with Java, but I have tried to re download SE 6, but I cannot find the link or the Java Preferences window, since Apple removed it (for whatever reason).
