Is there a way to put liquid in tanks, that isn't buckets?

I can get water with the aqueous accumulator, but it isn't water I'm trying to gather. I want to fill my tanks with sludge and lava. I've tried thaumcraft golems (fill core) but they tend to pathfind through the liquid and die.
