I can get water with the aqueous accumulator, but it isn't water I'm trying to gather. I want to fill my tanks with sludge and lava. I've tried thaumcraft golems (fill core) but they tend to pathfind through the liquid and die.

you need the upgraded blood orb for it, the one that takes a gold block and 25k life points.
