Bad Video Card Error

I don't get it when I play minecraft I dont get a bad video card error hoe come I am getting it now? How can I resolve this problem I have wanted to play this for a long time, someone please help!

it's the screen resolution, the game/java/your graphics card doesn't like your screen, because the "Pixel format not accelerated". How to fix it? well all you need to do is un-tick LWJGL in the launcher options button. That should fix it.

hmm I Didn't Seem To Find That In The Options Menu Are There Any Other Places I Can Find That?(Oh I Found It But Couldn't Click On It) [Modified]

bleh I'm having the same problem. I found the same checkbox but it was grayed out and I couldn't click on it (obviously.) I have the same problem whenever I try to play minecraft from the browser. I have to download the launcher and all. It works except for this tekkit launcher which I think is an amazing thing. Makes stuff convienant, if only I could get around this "can't find an accelerated OpenGL" problem with "bad video card drivers" I have it playing on a 64-bit custom HP Pavilion laptop with the correct launcher version and all, I think the main problem though is it tries launching it in a similar way as the minecraft.net in browser game. If you could give me a hint as to a button I can click to deal with it or something it'd be really helpful. Just in case here is the error report but I'm pretty sure its the same as the guy below/above... wherever the hell he is. I loved technic ssp when I could play it and look forward to your reply. Again basically I have the problem where minecraft doesn't work in browser for me or when the launcher launches it. The packs and everything download fine and the launcher in itself isn't having any trouble, up until the launcher closes out to start up minecraft, then it gives me an error message.
