Wont download all updates for 1.2.5

Description of Problem:

I was downloading it then it stopped, I logged into my inecraft accoutn and tried to go on to a minecraft server. then it said I required a few mods, which was neevr installed?

without your actual Java version (unless you are a time-traveller you can't have Java 8) or a log all I can say is to turn off AVG and redownload.

Two things. One, try disabling your avg firewall while you download the pack. AVG can be a bit too protective at times. Two, tell us exactly what mods it says you are missing. You may be running a different version of Tekkit then the server you are trying to connect to.
