Tekkit Problems

So im brand new to tekkit and i have a few problems.

When im in a game and I go to my inventory I click on the thing that i need to make on the right of my screen and instead of giving me the recipe to make it, it just gives me a stack of 64 in my inventory how do i fix it so that it will tell me how to make it ?

Press Options in your inventory screen, and click on the button saying "Cheat Mode"
