Can't Download the launcher

Launcher Version: I dont got it..

Operating System: Windows 7 Home premium (32-bit)

Java Version: Java 6

Antivirus Program: Avast! Antivirus

Description of Problem:

I tried to download the file but an error page comes up.

Error Messages:

Error page..Got my language on my browser.

Error Log:

it kinda souns same to my as the thing that TorstigaTord has.

i gto this for 3 days now, i whas playing the game game dide go down ans since than i gto this

I have this same issue when trying to run the windows 3.1.3 version. I'm on a win 7 system running java version 7 update 9 (both 32 and 64 bit) with norton 360 as my antivirus. I already tried disabling both the smart firewall and the antivirus auto-protect to no avail. The error message i got was the same as the guy from the 3rd reply " Unable to download launcher. Please check your internet connection by opening www.techniclauncher.net in your web browser."

(That website was taken down by the way and the error needs to be corrected as such)

I have been able to use the java version successfully though so i dont think there should be any issues connection wise it's just the windows launcher that is the problem. granted i'm glad i can still even play but it's rather annoying to have to open the command prompt and "java -jar technic-launcher.jar" just to run it. overall i have nothing but accolades for you devs just help me fix this little road bump.

looks like its only at win 7 if have been looking around and only seen this whif win7 system, but can u tell my how u get u tekkit to work agen?

Copy paste the error onto here (or Pastebin if its REALLY large) and we might be able to do something about it

Download the jar file/launch using the jar file

i just had that problem and this fix it XD
