Crash during Mojang screen

Question

Posted

System: Windows 7 64bit

Java 64bit

Anti-virus program: avast! Antivirus

I downloaded the launcher and (after a few problems, they solved themselves mostly) it launches up fine. I choose a pack and login (it does the same thing for them all).

The launcher closes (as it should), and opens up a new window. The new window then gets to the 'Mojang' screen, and simply shuts down without any error messages (it leaves

a error message file on my desktop).

Hope you guys can help, didn't immediately find any solutions in the stickies (I might just be blind though, in which case, sorry!)

I see, thanks alot.

I did a quick google search on how to do it, and while I did find some results, it says I am to add 'the location of the class to the value for PATH'.

I'm not quite sure what to put there, could you help me out a little more?

(I previously installed Java 7 and I figured it worked, but since it doesn't, I decided to try the other option)

Yeah, changed the path, it still does it :/ Trying to reinstall Java 7. Properly, this time. I'll update later on what happens.

The exact page I used before.

What I meant is, I'm unsure of what to type in (sorry if I seem retarded, I'm not particularly good with stuff like this :-\ )

What am I supposed to write?

Nevermind, figured it out. Thanks again. :)

For those reading this that don't know, it should be where java 7 is located.
