I ran the software updates for my mac and when I tried to open the technic launcher again, it hung on the main splash screen. It looked different than the main splash screen though because it had a black background instead of the typical white, and it had a border around it with the exit, minimize, and maximize buttons on it which it doesn't normally have. As far as I can tell, it doesn't do anything further than that.
I think the problem might have to do with upgrading Java from version 6 to version 7. I have tried downgrading java but it has had no effect. I can't tell if this is because what I've tried to downgrade it hasn't worked, or if it's a different issue entirely.
Thanks for all your time and effort.
