For some reason my friend cannot connect to my Tekkit Hamachi Server.

Here's the server info.

Why are you using Hamachi and not Tunngle? Tunngle is better in literally every way.

I find port-forwarding superior to both Hamachi and Tunngle personally.

TheFlash, would you mind posting a little bit about how you fixed the problem? I would like to know in case someone runs into a similar problem in the future.

Don't use hamachi.

Don't use tungle.

Don't portforward.

Rent a vps or dedicated host.

How many users do you need before either of those services is worth it though?

I would think that it would not be worth it if you are just running a small server. I know that it wouldn't be worth it for me (4 users counting myself). I run mine on a spare machine and have a basic package from Comcast for our Internet connection (20 down, 8 up if I remember right), it works perfectly for us.

I have a vps paid for life. Also I have a whitelist server with 15 slots through clanslots. I pay about $17 a month and its worth it because running a pc 24/7 (depending on your power supply) will be more than that.

Are you allowed to run other services on the VPS along side the Tekkit server?

I use the machine that I run my Tekkit server on for more than just Tekkit. It controls the camera watching my front door, runs Apache, a Terraria server and an SSH server.

You can run whatever you want. Legal things... You rent the server

I doubt you could run your security system as it is probably over your home network but apache, tekkit, and terraria would all be fine.
