When clicked on, the technic launcher does nothing.

Hiya! My friends told me to download technic launcher so we could all play some mods together. However, I downloaded the launcher and when I click on it nothing happens. I see the loading symbol circle for about a second next to my cursor then it's gone. I'm using Windows Vista, 32-bit and have Java 8 update 101 installed. Please help!

NEW: Think I found the solution actually. Uninstall any versions of java on your PC, then delete or move your .technic folder from your %appdata% folder. Now install java again (preferably the latest version) and try opening your launcher. Hope this works
