Error with launcher

Launcher Version: 1.3.1

Operating System: Windows 7 i5

Java Version: newest one i dont know

Antivirus Program: Norton 360

Description of Problem:

When I try to open up the technic launcher it checks the launcher version and stops and says it couldn't download. I looked in the .jar and there was nothing in it

Error Messages:

Unable to download launcher. Please check your internet browser by checking

www.techniclauncher.net in your webbrowser

Turn off Norton and redownload

i have the exact same issue and i don't have Norton i have tired re-downloading and that doesn't work either it was working earlier today but now it wont please help (sry for invading ur post but i thought it may help if you still cant get it to work either)

FIXED THE PROBLEM!!!! it was actualy realy easy go into your %appdata% folder then delete your .techniclauncher folder then scroll down there should be a technic.JAR file delete that too then restart technic and it should work (worked for me no less than 5 seconds ago)
