can't get on my own server

Description of Problem:

i can't join my own server it says that some mods for tekkit aren't up to date.

I use the launcher so i don't know why the mods arn't up to date

You've probably downloaded the latest server files which are for the development version of Tekkit.

1. Open the launcher
   
2. Click 'Options' at the bottom right
   
3. Click 'Use development builds'
   
4. Login and if it asks to update, choose yes
   
5. Try connecting to your server again
