Laptop recommendation

Do you guys think either of these laptops would be able to support some of the heavier modpacks at decent settings?

As a computer technician, personally, they look about the same as far as there capabilities, but having said that, I would go with the ASUS,I wouldn't be to worried about DDR4 RAM, because it's just a more efficient form of memory than DDR3, And don't worry about the graphics card in either, there about the same, if not exactly. (the ASUS's GPU is slightly faster in core speed, while the Acer's GPU is just an updated version to support DirectX 12, and to support the new DDR 4 RAM)

But to answer your question the're both fairly decent with the heavier modpacks, but i wouldn't expect 60 FPS all the time.

The reason i'd go with the ASUS, is because it comes with a 1 TB hard drive, more than you'll ever need if you just plan on modding, or gaming in general. (although, i would upgrade to a SSD if you can help it purely for long-term data security) while the Acer only has a 250Gb drive

it dose cost a bit extra, but in the computer world, you get what you pay for..

In short, Go for the ASUS
