Possible to back-date a server?

Is it possible to move a server back to a previous version? Like I have a 3.1.3 server I've been running, is it possible to make it a 3.1.2 server without losing the progress that is on the world(in-game)...?

A 3.1.3 server should be compatible with 3.1.2, just move the world save across.

Remember to back it up.

Wonderful! Now how do I go about doing that? =P (I am very new to this stuff lol)

The "world" folder in your current server needs to be copy and pasted into your new server. Do the same for the nether and end world saves if you want to save them too.
