Launcher not working - "Unable to Connect to internet"

Operating System: Windows 7

Java Version: Most Recent (Just Installed it) so.. 9

Antivirus Program: N/A

Description of Problem:

I have just installed the launcher and it says "Checking Launcher Version" then a pop up box will say "Unable to download Launcher. Please check you internet connection by entering www.techniclauncher.net" i have tried everything from disabling my firewall to updating java. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP!

I have this exact problem too, started happening about an hour after you posted this ironically enough. I have had it installed for a few days now, and was running it fine less than an hour ago.

im having the same problem as well. Except i downloaded this a few days ago, and it hasnt worked at all...

you just have to remove the technic-launcher.jar(normally in your roaming map) and then just start it again, worked for me.
