What is differnt in Tekkit?

Howdy folks....I just started playing and noticed that I can actually play several different versions of the game from the technic launcher. I have played Vanilla minecraft for about a year now before I even heard of technic or tekkit so I am almost a noob again. First thing I did was try out Technic.....its awsome...... Then tonight I loaded Tekkit....It seems the same as Vanilla minecraft....just version 1.25, I am guessing there is something wrong. Any Ideas?

I have looked there...If there is something that answers my Question pleas leave a link. Also this IS the Tekkit forum, So therefor it IS part of the Tekkit section.

That doesn't tell me why it is just like regular vanilla minecraft.....I tried creative mode and looked at the items available.....its the same stuff as in minecraft with no mods.

Ok. I uninstalled tekkit and reinstalled....now its seems to be working correctly.....its not just loading regular minecraft anymore. Have a great evening/Morning.

use the techniclauncher for tekkit / technic

use the regular minecraft.exe to play vanilla.

I was using the technic launcher and had selected tekkit.....it even said tekkit in top left border as game was launching......and why play vanilla minecraft anymore....this is too fun, but thanks for the advice. :)
