Description of Problem:

Minecraft.net is up and running, but I'm not able to communicate with it from the launcher. I've used this account before.

Unable to authenticate account with minecraft.net

I am having the same problem with the 1.0.3.4 launcher on 64-bit Windows 7. On the questions page, one user said that everything worked fine after "installing my anti-virus". It seems that you (and myself) already have anti-virus software on our computers so there must be some other way to fix this problem. Are the minecraft servers down? Is that why we can't seem to log in?

I'm going to guess he meant "uninstalling my anti-virus", as those things like to interfere with things they don't understand. I'd personally try disabling it first. Otherwise, post a log.
