Launcher Does Not Work!

I am on a mac, updated java, updated platform, updated everything. Downloaded a fresh version off the main page for the mac link of course, and when I click the launcher the file is unzipped, and the launcher doesn't actually.. launch. 

Broken Link? Any fixes? Please help!

The launcher needs to open using Java. Tell your Mac to "Open With Java" I don't have Mac, I forget the exact procedure.

This is really strange, as the option was not appearing a few days back when I had first tried to open it. Seems to work now, this was severely frustrating though, as I had seen the answer to this question as "Open With Java" before, and yet their was no option. Seems very glitchy.
