Waterproof wooden pipe changing direction?

Question

Title: Waterproof wooden pipe changing direction?

Version: 3.1.2

OS: Windows 7

Java Version: JRE 7

Description of Problem:

So i have connected the wooden pipe between a refinery and tank (as part of a oil well). I use a redstone engine to power the fuel from the refinery to get sucked along through the wooden pipe into the tank. Simple right. However for some odd reason the pipe keeps swapping itself around, so the fuel can't get sucked through to the tank. I'm certain its happening all around my server, having annoying issues with engines exploding due to "flawless" cooling systems failing.

so you have 1 space between the 2 and are using just 1 wooden pipe? Why don't you leave 2 spaces and use 1 wooden and 1 of another pipe so when it loads up, it cannot be facing the wrong direction.

Unless I'm just reading this wrong on how you're explaining this. In that case a screen shot would be nice.

currently just one space. It's a fix, thankyou. Are the pipes just buggy or are they meant to act like that? (changing direction ect)

I would assume that they just get buggy when the wooden pipes are placed next to more than 1 thing that it can actually connect to. I've personally never tried it.
