Title: Performance Issues

Version: 3.1.2

OS: Windows 7 home premium 64bit

Java Version: java 7 update 10

Description of Problem:

I have a rather beastly computer (Gtx 680 graphics card with 4gb of GDDR5 ram, an i7 3770k OC to 4.6 Ghz and 16 Gb of ram.) , but Am unable to run tekkit with the view distance on extreme without dropping down to around 20fps.

I've noticed that both my CPU and GPU are at less than 30% of their maximum load when I run tekkit at that setting.

Is this due to the client? or is there something im doing wrong with my options?

Hope someone can help :)

Do you have your Graphics Card set to run on Java? If not, here's how(I'm quoting this from another post):

To get technic/tekkit/yogsbox/magic launcher running on the right GPU, open the Nvidia Control Panel. Go to the "Manage 3D settings" section. Pop over to the "Program Settings" tab. Click the "Add" button. Browse to java.exe. The location will vary depending on your OS and java version. On my 64-bit system with Java 7 it is:

C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe

Where it says, "Select the preferred graphics processor for this program", select "High-performance NVIDIA processor" instead of the default "Use global setting (Auto-select: [...])" option.

I have already tried, but it hasn't changed, I just don't understand why my pc isn't working "as hard as it can" and leaving me with only 25 fps... :S
