Launcher Version: latest, (22/12/2012)

Operating System: Windows 7

Java Version: the version minecraft requires

Antivirus Program: Avast

Description of Problem:

i have just downloaded the technic lancher, as well as recently purchasing minecraft, i can open the launcher fine and my details are correct, however almost instantly after clicking log in, at the point where the loading bar says "chacking for minecraft update" or "technic SSP update" it tells me the update has failed

What is the version number of your launcher? What Java version do you have? Can you post a log?

technic launcher version i think is 1.0.1.0 my java version is jre-7u10 for x64, (i checked its what my pc runs) and sorry i cant post as i dont know how to do it because i dont know what one is
