This pretty makes tekkit unplayable. It has happened with two different video cards. Java is up to date and I have tried resinstalling tekkit.

This happens randomly and it's driving me crazy!

Wrong section. Submit a bug report. Before that though, you should try making sure you have the correct version of Optifine installed.
