Can't use Skins?

Hey all,

I've played Minecraft for awhile, especially with mods, usually using my friends account up until today where I decided to buy my own. I tried using a skin of a character from some anime I like so I don't look like a Steve, and it seems like it's worked for normal Minecraft - both through the Modpack and not, also shows my head as Qrow in the Tekkit website, but when I go on any servers or singleplayer it doesn't. I've tried a few mods, to no luck.

Really sorry if this is a common issue- I checked but I couldn't see it on the normal Q&A.

Recently my normal mc launcher stopped working/wouldn't load into the game, so now I use technic launcher for vanilla mc. It shows my skin on the main page, but in game I show up as steve. I was playing a LAN world and couldn't see anyone else's skins either, but they could see theirs and mine. Is there a way for me to see skins? Does anyone else have this problem?

I have the same problem. I also recently have had to start using Technic for vanilla, but no skins load. I even went on a server but no one's skins are loading...
