This problem has been going on for awhile with me and I haven't found what the problem is nor how to fix it. But basically what happens is I press play after downloading a mod pack and a loads that stuff in then closes. Once it closes its gone for a minute or a little less then comes back. I have tried deleting it and reinstalling it, I have tried restarting my computer even before I updated to windows 10 I believe I was having this problem. I just really wanna play with my friends and none of them have had this problem.
