custom modpack loading troubles

my friend recently made a custom mod pack for a server. all of our friends have it and it runs flawlessly for them, however the Minecraft loading screen will appear and the mod loading page will go through the processes of loading mods. when it completes the window will close like the title screen is going to open but instead the Technic launcher reappears. i have tried reinstalling the mod pack as well as the launcher itself. i even had my friend dig into his mod pack files and send me the collection, i replaced my pack with his and it still would not load. i believe it has something to do with either java or Technic itself.

Not  a launcher issue. Moved to Platform Pagoda.

i do not fully understand why it works for my 5 friends who have all installed it and are currently running it.. but i digress, if there is anyone that can help then please do
