Mods not Loading on my modpack

I made a modpack and I did everything the help thing told me to do and successfully added the zip file, but when I launch the pack none of the mods were even there.

It was like I was playing basic 1.12.2 minecraft. It didn't even show the forge loading screen.

If you used the most recent forge version, which is also the recommended, then it's slightly different as forge has since changed some things on their end. Instead of downloading the universal and renaming that, download the installer and rename it to modpack.jar.
