Can't access Minecraft once launched

I've been dealing with a problem with the Technic Launcher. Every time I try to launch a modpack with java 1.8.0 261 64x bit, I get a white screen when I hover over he minecraft icon, and also cannot access Minecraft (it does not show up on my computer's desktop, and I can't even access it through clicking the icon). I didn't have this problem before with a lesser version of Java, but I can no longer find that version. I am running Windows 10 on a laptop.

Occasionally java will get it's window "stuck" outside of the desktop screen for various reasons, this sounds like this might be the case. One possible solution is to shift+right click on the icon, click "move" then press any arrow key to bind to the window. You should now be able to move the cursor around and see the minecraft window come back into view. This has worked for other users, assuming this is indeed the same problem.
