newbie needs help

im not even sure if im posting in the right place. My son has minecraft 1.4.6, ive downloaded technic launcher 1.0.3.4 and tekkit server 3.1.3.

When I open the launcher what user name & password do I enter??? Ive created accounts with technic forums & majong but when I type them in they don't work. So I then tried the user name on minecraft?

all you have to do is use the username and password that your son uses on the normal minecraft launcher

Have tried but he doesn't have a password for it just a user name?

I've read somewhere that 1.4.6 is not an online version.

I'm guessing thats my problem! I'm off to find another version.

Sorry, but you'll have to buy the game to use the launcher. A premium account is needed to use the modpacks, the team doesn't support pirating.
