Also, there is not enough information in your post. We need things like client/server version and such.

Forge 1.4.7? Minecraft 1.4.7 isn't even out yet, and Tekkit is still using Minecraft 1.2.5.

Find out what version of tekkit the server is running and make sure you have the same version selected in the launcher under options.
