Launching in offline

Hey, so I'm deploying and a group of my buddies are trying to find a way to play modded Minecraft without needing any internet. We all have legit copies of the game, but when I try to launch a mod pack while I'm offline the launcher hides itself for about 2 seconds and then come back up meaning the mod pack isn't being started. Is there any fix to this or are we just boned when it comes to trying to play with mod packs?

In my past experiences, I logged into technic and had it remember my login for the remainder of time. I didn't have internet for a few months at one point and it let me launch in offline until I launched 2 technic applications; at which point made me login for too many login instances. You wouldn't be able to download any modpacks in offline, but you can play the ones already installed
