How to restart your technic launcher on mac

So i've been playing on the technic launcher for about 3 days. 1 day it was working but the 2 days have not been working and i think restarting the launcher will do the trick. by the technic launcher not working i mean that when i try to type in a modpack it does not work, nothing happens on the searchbar.
