Group Manager suffixes not working? 3.1.2

Hi, I downloaded essentials 2.9.6 and when I go to group manager prefixes it simply won't show up in game... for example I go....

groups:

Default:

default: true

permissions:

- bukkit.command.kill

inheritance:

- g:groupmanager_default

- g:bukkit_default

- g:essentials_default

- g:towny_default

info:

prefix: '&e[Guest]'

build: false

suffix: ''

and the "guest" prefix wont show up, along with the color. Any help?
